Vikings player Everson Griffen in disturbing incident at home



According to the Minnesota Vikings and the police in Minnesota, Everson Griffen has been in a mental health situation at his home since Wednesday morning.

It began with a disturbing story on social media. He said that people were trying to kill him and he had a gun. He asked his agent for help because people were trying to kill him. The posts have been deleted.

According to a news release, just after 3 a.m., the man called authorities and said that he had fired a weapon in the house at a person and that no one was injured. The police were unable to find anyone. Police and mental health professionals from the Vikings have been at the house. The Vikings confirmed that members of the organization are at his home. There is no update on whether or not Griffen has left his home as of the time this article was published.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer spoke to the media. He said he didn't know if Griffen was safe.

The Vikings drafted him in 2010. He made four Pro Bowls and recorded double-digit sack totals three times. He played for the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys before returning to the Vikings. He has played in nine of the Vikings 10 games, recording five sacks, 10 quarterback hits and a forced fumbled ball.

The Vikings banned him from the practice facility and he missed five games because of his mental health battle. He was taken by ambulance to a mental health facility.
