Apple customers in Turkey are being turned away from retail stores by staff, although the exact reason for the in-store sales halt is not known.

Store staff are telling customers that normal sale operations will resume once the Turkish economy improves, as rapid currency fluctuations have halted the sale.

Turkish sources claim that the stores have been selling products today and that the situation is due to the stores running out of stock and the Apple stores limiting in-store sales.

Customers are waiting outside of two Apple Stores in Istanbul. Customers with service appointments are being attended to, while customers looking to purchase products are not. The staff at the retail store is telling customers that a price hike can be expected once sales resume.
