New Zealand to reopen to tourists in April

New Zealand will reopen its borders to visitors in the year 2022.

It will be the first time in a long time that the country will be open to travellers.

The country is moving away from a zero-covid-19 strategy and is reopening to the world.

New Zealand citizens and visa holders from Australia will be the first to enter the border.

The country will be welcoming all other visitors at the end of April.

Guests will still have to self-isolated for a week, but will no longer have to go through managed isolation facilities.

The Covid-19 travel restrictions will be lifted from mid-December, and residents of the city will be able to leave.

From January 17th, New Zealanders can travel home from Australia.

From February 14th, they can come from all other countries.

International tourists will be able to travel to New Zealand from the end of April.

Only one country will be classified as a very high risk, and that's Papua New Guinea.
