The most expensive listing the city of Weston has ever seen is a 12,323-square-foot mansion that is for sale for 14 million dollars.

The city is located in the western part of the county. Its borders are north and west of Florida.

The Monarch Estate is located in Weston, FL.

The first residential development in Weston was in the Windmill Ranch Estates community and has a seven-bedroom, 11-bath lakefront residence. Weston has a population of over 68,000, according to the University of Florida. Its median household income is $107,908.

Senada Adzem, the property's listing agent, said that Weston is far enough from dense urban centers like Fort Lauderdale and Miami to give it a peaceful suburban feel, but it still gives residents easy access to bigger city life.

In 2012 a home in Weston sold for $7 million. The home in the Windmill Ranch Estates was 25,000 square feet and had a price per square foot of $280.

The driveway of the Monarch Estate has been landscaped.

The owners of the residence at 3030 Meadow Lane are asking double the price of the house, which is about half the size of the record-setting mansion, making it four times the price per square foot.

If the home sells for more than its asking price, it will break a local record and make it the most expensive home in the county. The highest sale in the county in April was a waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale that sold for $23 million.

In October, the average sale price for a single- family home in the county was $658,700, up 19.3% over last year. According to the Miami Realtors October market summary, sales volume last month across the entire county was $912.4 million.

Adzem said that Weston has its share of estates worth $10 million or more. The Monarch Estate is the first of its kind. We expect to see more of these multimillion-dollar properties for sale as time goes on, given the high demand in the luxury sector.

Here is a look at what makes this Weston home stand out.

The Monarch Estate was named after the monarch butterflies that are attracted to the flowering bushes around the property.

The home is located on 1.5 acres overlooking a lake and has a 93-foot pool, a trampoline, and a basketball court.

The home's heart is an open-concept layout that connects a massive great room, kitchen and breakfast dining area. Adzem said that the space is over two thousand square feet.

Two large islands are clad in ivory marble, and the kitchen has white wood cabinets with steel appliances.

The great room and breakfast area are open to a loggia and pool.

The home has an air-conditioned loggia.

The loggia, or open-air patio, has a lounge, dining area, barbecue, fireplace and television. Adzem says that the room can be sealed by floor-to-ceiling screens with the touch of a button.

The bedroom is themed.

One of the seven bedrooms was inspired by a New York City Soho loft complete with a wall clad in exposed brick, wood plank floors and oversized arched windows.
