John Fleck: Sheffield United midfielder discharged from hospital after collapse at Reading

Medical staff from both teams as well as paramedics were called to treat John after he collapsed.

John Fleck was released from the hospital after collapsing during the win at Reading.

After going down, Fleck was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Scotland international was allowed to return to his home after spending the night in the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The club said in a statement that the medical staff will keep an eye on him.

The club said that John Fleck had undergone "comprehensive medical exams" and that they would like to thank everyone for their support.

The match was stopped for more than 10 minutes while he received treatment after he was injured in the second half.

Enda Stevens was the first to get the attention of the referee, who stopped the game and allowed both teams' medics and the stadium's on-duty paramedics onto the pitch.

After the game, the club confirmed that Fleck had received "urgent medical care" on the pitch before he was taken to a waiting ambulance.

While wearing an oxygen mask, he was able to stand at one point, but was taken off on a stretcher and was conscious as he left the stadium.

After 13 minutes were added on at the end of the second half, the Blades were able to hold on for their first win in five games.
