Tennessee Titans waive RB Adrian Peterson after three-game stint

The TennesseeTitans announced Tuesday that they have nixed veteran running back Adrian Peterson.

On the same day that Henry was placed on injured reserve, he was signed to the practice squad by theTitans.

The 53-man roster has a player on it.

In Week 9 of the season, he made his debut for theTitans against the Rams. His touchdown run tied him with Walter Payton for 11th place on the career scoring list.

D'Onta Foreman, Jeremy McNichols, and Dontrell Hilliard are the split carries. In three games this season, he carried the ball 27 times for 82 yards and one touchdown.

The team signed three players to its active roster in the corresponding moves.

Tennessee placed defensive back Chris Jackson and wide receiver on injured reserve and added Golden Tate and Austin Mack to the practice squad.
