Proud Boys International, L.L.C. and its leader, Henry "Enrique" Tarrio, were subpoenaed.
The 1st Amendment Praetorian and its head, Robert Patrict Lewis, were subpoenaed along with the Oath Keepers and its leader, Elmer Stewart Rhodes.
The organizations and their leaders are required to turn over documents to the committee by December 7, with the leaders also required to appear for depositions.
On December 14, Tarrio, Lewis and Rhodes are scheduled to be deposed.
Tarrio was sentenced to five months in prison in Washington, D.C. for stealing and burning a Black Lives Matter banner during a pro-Trump demonstration. A judge denied his request for early release on Friday.
The scope of the investigation is expanding beyond the White House after a round of subpoenas were issued Tuesday. It is not clear how involved the pro-Trump groups were in organizing the mob of Trump supporters that descended on the Capitol.
