Hey, look over here, the Suns look like title contenders again

Chris Paul is like a student who never gets enough credit for doing more than the assignment requires. Chris, I don't have a grade higher than an A+ to give you, and you already have enough extra credit that you could not show up for the last quarter and still pass, so yes, you are correct. You are creating a curve for the rest of us that will take my B and drop it to a C-. I had a past time.

Despite not being able to sneak up on teams anymore and an investigation into their POS owner, the Suns look like a title contender again. The Suns knew they were getting a future hall-of-famer when they acquired CP3. They have a player who has done this before. The owner of the team was revealed to be racist, misogynist, and awful.

I know that the Warriors and Curry are amazing. Look at where he shot! Even though we have sucked for most of the NBA existence, Bay basketball is back. Can we kiss the Suns?

The top four players in minutes per game are shooting over 50 percent from the field. The four players for Golden State are close to 50 percent. The Lakers get an equally nauseating amount of coverage even though they are hovering around.500, and their top four are at 46 percent as a group. Let's point and laugh, be concerned.

I have a nice note from the teacher. Book, Ayton and Bridges are playing great, but they don't seem to mind what's going on off the court with the owner. Bridges got his money, Ayton has yet to get it, and Booker is dating someone who is close enough to be a reality TV star to be concerned about a curse.

I wrote about the contract situation of Ayton and the history of being cheap before the story about the man came out. Booker looks to have improved his range, which is 38.6 percent from 3 compared with 34 percent last season. He is finding teammates more and playing slightly fewer minutes.

Is it a credit to Monte Williams that none of them are distracted? Yes to both? Coach Williams deserves a lot of the praise he is getting for the way his team has played.

Paul was going to improve the Suns and bend them to his will regardless of who the coach was, but he was not the easiest player to be bossed around by, and they still come across as pretty kumbaya. They haven't had enough time to get sick of him yet, he's matured, or the coach is doing a good job of getting them to work well on group assignments.

The role players and bench are not liabilities on either end of the court. The other six players in the rotation average less than 8 points per game. They added Javale McGee to shore up their big deficiency that Milwaukee exposed in the finals, and are flexible enough to match up with small teams.

The only negative is that the evil dean of the owner needs to go away. Who were the parents of Matilda? I feel like a parent-teacher conference would be like that. How did you make that?

The Suns have the second-best record in the NBA and are exceeding high expectations, yet have seventh-best title odds. Vegas hates them. They are not like the Jazz, who have the fifth-best title odds and fail every test.

Even though I don't know what curve Phoenix is being graded on, overachievers think it's unfair.
