Enes Kanter's intentions are good — his execution is bad

The message is important, but the messenger is equally important. In the case of Enes Kanter, the important message isn't being listened to because the messenger would rather make impulsive noises.

The Turkish big man is fearless. He lives his life in a way that shows his physical playing style. A wanted man in his home country is named Kanter. He has multiple warrants against him for speaking out against the government, so he can't go back. His actions led to the arrest of his father by the Turkish government, as he was released last year after seven years.

It makes sense that someone like Kanter, who is an international player in the NBA, would use his platform to speak out against police brutality and the oppression of minorities in China. He claims that Nike uses slave labor to make their products. The NBA has found itself in another battle with its biggest global partner just a year after Morey almost broke the partnership, as the Celtics are being erased in China.

It sounds like a moral cause.

Yes.

What did he do wrong?

He made targets of the wrong people because of his frustration, and now he is a distraction to his cause. He made two other mistakes. He should know better than to think Black players are supposed to save the world. He broke "man law" by publicly calling out the most popular athlete on the planet and then cowering like a punk when he had a chance to address him.

Shop early Black Friday deals.

Money over morals for the King, was the message written by the author. He said it was sad and disgusting how athletes pretend to care about social justice. When Big Boss says so, they shut up and dribble. Did you know about the slave labor that made your shoes?

The Lakers were in town to play the Celtics. Kanter was as quiet as a mouse.

James said after the game that he doesn't give many people his energy. He is definitely not someone I would give my energy to. He is trying to use my name to get a job. I will not comment much on that.

If you have an issue with someone, you really come up to him, and he has always had a word or two to say in my direction. He had a chance tonight. He walked by me in the hallway.

James created an entire school for children and paid for their college tuition, which has dealt with the same things that Kanter is speaking out for on behalf of the people in China, who knows what could have happened if the two had a conversation. We will never know because Kanter went after Michael Jordan on CNN after taking the cowardice way out.

Not many people are talking about Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan hasn't done anything for the Black community in America other than giving them money.

He followed that up by trying to clean up his statements about James and Jordan.

I feel like we need to call them out. It's great that the man who is the voice of the people who are not appreciated in America is going out there. Michael Jordan cares too much about his shoe sales to do anything for the Black community, so we need to call out these athletes and not be afraid of who they are.

James has been far from perfect in his activism, but to call him out for this is hypocritical, especially for someone like Kanter, who has been able to accomplish more with his charitable acts than James has. During the 2020 Presidential election, Trump was ousted because of his Muslim ban, which was directly targeted at people like Kanter, but we may never understand how much impact his organization had. As far as what Jordan has done for Black Americans, or what he means to us, that is for us to decide.

What is happening in China is not cool. The idea of an international basketball player finding success in America where there is freedom of speech to use his platforms to speak out for others that are being mistreated while playing a global game is a great idea. Good ideas are meaningless until they are executed. If your mouth isn't right, it doesn't matter if your heart is in the right place.

Enes has no idea what he is doing. The sad part is that people in China need him to.
