Pataleshwar Caves

The Pataleshwar Caves are one of the oldest structures in the city. The Panchaleshwar Temple is also known as the Bhamburde Pandav Cave Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The name Pataleshwar means God of the Underworld.

The structure was carved out of a single rock. One of the most striking features of the temple is the pillars. The symmetry of these columns makes them an excellent place to take pictures, especially for people who are interested in history and architecture. The atmosphere is very similar to a treasure hunt movie. The temple is similar to the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai.
