CPAC bans Sesame Street characters from its upcoming Orlando conference, citing Big Bird's endorsement of vaccines

The Conservative Political Action Conference banned Sesame Street characters from attending their conference in Florida because Big Bird endorsed the vaccine.
The CPAC said the Muppets were not welcome at the conference, which is scheduled for February 2022, in a series of tweets.

A picture of Elmo was featured on a picture of the #notinvited. They were not welcome.
CPAC is on November 18, 2021.

Conservatives have been talking about "Sesame Street" in recent weeks after Big Bird said he had been shot for cancer.
I got the vaccine today. Big Bird said in the tweet that his wing was feeling a little sore but that it would give him an extra protective boost.
Ted Cruz claimed that the children's character was being used to teach children. Cruz said in a message.
The kid's show announced on November 14 that it would be the first Asian-American muppet. PBS was defunded by the CPAC over the introduction of the character.

What race is it? "PBS is insane and we should stop funding them," said Schlapp in a reply to a report about the new character.
The show's producer, CPAC, and PBS did not respond to Insider's request for comment at the time.
