Elon Musk's mother mocked Biden for saying GM 'electrified the entire automobile industry'

Maye Musk took a dig at President Joe Biden after he failed to mention the future of electric cars in a recent public address.

General Motor's new electric vehicle plant, Factory Zero, was opened by Biden on Wednesday. Biden praised Mary Barra's work towards an all-electric future.

Biden said that he "electrified the entire automobile industry." "You led the way in improving the climate by reducing hundreds of millions of barrels of oil that will not be used when we're all electric."

The majority of GM's sales are still from cars that burn gas, but the company plans to have an all-electric line-up by the year 2035.

"Biden's speech was written 20 years ago, before GM killed the electric car," Maye Musk said. The speech writer uploaded the wrong file.

The mother of the CEO of the electric car company said that the GM cancellation of its electric car program in 2003 was similar. The second-fastest company in history to hit a $1 trillion valuation was founded in 1995 by Musk.

Maye Musk had a "sigh" when she responded to Musk.

Both Biden and Harris took to the internet to praise GM. Biden posted a picture of himself in a Hummer.

President Biden said "November 18, 2021"

Biden and Harris failed to mention the success of the company, and Musk took a playful jab at them.

"Maybe they are not in the dialogue tree, and just aren't a player character," he said. "Let's see if we can get them to say 'Tesla,'" Musk said.

It's not the first time that Biden has snubbed a company. The White House did not invite the electric car manufacturer to its EV summit. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked if the employees ofTesla were excluded from the event because they were not part of an automotive union.

She said she would let you draw your own conclusion.

Musk has been against union efforts at his company. The National Labor Relations Board called on the CEO to remove a post that was seen as threatening to labor organizers.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
