Beto O'Rourke says his campaign for Texas governor won't be about Joe Biden or Donald Trump but will focus on state issues

Beto O'Rourke is running for governor of Texas and he wouldn't say if he would invite Biden to campaign with him.
After his presidential run came to an end, Dana Bash asked O'Rourke if he would campaign for Joe Biden in 2020. A recent poll shows that only a small percentage of Texans approve of his performance. Do you want the President to come and campaign with you?
The campaign in Texas is not going to be about Joe Biden. It's not going to be about Donald Trump. "It's not going to be about anyone from outside of our state," O'Rourke said.
The people of Texas want what O'Rourke wants, he said.

He said that they want big things like jobs, great schools, and making sure everyone can see a doctor, but they also want to see some competence in their government.
He said that Texans are focused on what's happening in their state, not what's happening in the rest of the country.

O'Rourke was asked if he preferred Biden not to come.
It means I'm focused on Texas. Those are the people that I care about the most. There is no one from outside of this state who can help to change the course of this election for better or worse.

Insider reported that Biden's approval rating has been declining. The president's approval rating is based on an average of polls and his disapproval rating is based on polls.
