League of Legends’ 2022 world championship will be a multi-city affair

One of the biggest events in the world will be held in four North American cities. The League of Legends World Championship will be held in New York, Toronto, Mexico City, and San Francisco in 2022, according to Riot Games. The Warriors and Raptors will play in San Francisco at the Chase Center.

Riot says this will be the first multi-country edition of its annual competition, and the first to take place in North America since 2016 The play-ins portion of the event will begin in Mexico City, followed by the group stage and quarterfinals in New York, and the semifinals and finals in Toronto.

The 2021 edition of Worlds just wrapped up earlier this month in Reykjavk,Iceland, after originally being planned for China. The countries were moved due to the competition. Riot is expecting that the tournament will get more fans in the future, as it is expecting to host matches in large NBA arenas in the future.
