A 77-year-old Arizona man was convicted after he left a threatening voicemail for Nancy Pelosi saying

A man from Arizona was found guilty of sending a threatening message to Nancy Pelosi.
The Department of Justice said that Steven Arthur Martis, a 77-year-old from Bullhead City, Arizona, left multiple threatening voicemails for the House Speaker.
In his first call, he threatened to kill you. The statement said that he advised "You're dead" in a second voicemail.
Speaker Pelosi's office did not reply immediately.
According to the statement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation had approached him and warned him about making similar calls in the past.
Although the First Amendment protects our right to free speech, the United States Attorney's Office takes threats to kill or harm another individual very seriously and this case is an important reminder.
David Eisenberg did not respond to Insider's request for comment. January 25, 2022, is when the sentencing is scheduled to take place.
