Ohio State Buckeyes surge three spots to No. 2 in AP Top 25 college football poll

Ohio State moved up three spots to second in the AP college football poll.

For the seventh week in a row, Georgia is the unanimous No. 1 in the AP Top 25.

Ohio State leapfrogged both Alabama and Cincinnati after beating Michigan State on Saturday. The media panel gave the Buckeyes 1,434 points. The Tide had 1,423 and the Bearcats had 1,416.

Notre Dame and Michigan are both ranked in the top six for next week's games. The winner will play in the Big Ten title game.

Oklahoma State is one of three Big 12 teams in the back half of the top 10.

The Big 12 championship will be decided next Saturday when the Cowboys host the Sooners. Oklahoma State has secured a spot, and other teams are still alive.

Wake Forest, Arkansas, Oregon and Michigan State all lost. The unranked team beat the ranked team. The Deacs were dropped eight spots by Wake's loss.

Arkansas fell four spots after losing at Alabama, while Clemson was kept out of the Top 25 for the first time since the last weekend of September. The Razorbacks received 105 points.
