Arcane, An Awesome Show, is Getting a Second Season

It's pretty awesome. Those who have watched the first season of the MOBA have praised it for its focus on the sisterly duo of Jinx and Vi, who are enforcers. The show has taken off because of the way it brings together various League champions like Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger and gradually guides them to become the characters fans know them to be. The third act was released yesterday, and Riot Games and Netflix confirmed a season two was in the works.

There is nothing to show from the brief trailer, other than the sophomore outing will focus on the incredibly strained relationship between the two people, with the cities of Zaun and Piltover caught in the middle. Only three people have been confirmed to return so far. It is something that is important to note.

Jinx killed a lot of the first season's main characters. The girl formerly known as Powder accidentally kills her adoptive father in the last minutes of the final episode. She grieves with grief and now settles into her Jinx persona, she takes the arcane crystal, puts it into her rocket, and then fires at the Piltover Council.

It is obvious that Viktor and Jayce are alive, but it is also obvious that everyone else is dead. If Mel is dead, that will cause trouble: she hails from the empire of Noxus, and her mother is the ruler who just dropped by Piltover in the hopes that Jayce would make. If Mel is dead, her mother will try to bring Jinx to justice.

Heimerdinger and Ekko formed a friendship after meeting up, despite not being involved in the finale. They will get caught up in the chaos because they are connected to the other characters.

When the second season of the show arrives, we will find out what happens to the cast and whoever else is waiting in the wings.
