To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox, Paramount Plus has released the first trailer for the "Halo" TV series, a live-action adaptation of the famous first-person shooter console games.

The series has not been released yet, but the star of the games will be Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. He has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including "First Man", "Orange is the New Black", and "Lords of Dogtown", as well as co-starred with Heath Ledger in the film.

In "Mass Effect: Andromeda," Charlie Murphy will play Makee, Kate Kennedy will play Kai-125, and Natascha McElhone will play Ronin.

The casting choice for "Halo" on Paramount Plus was excellent, and the star of the games, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, will be played by Pablo Schreiber. The credit is given to Paramount Plus.

You're missing out if you don't know what "Halo" is. One of the flagship franchises for Microsoft's Xbox was the military-style, sci-fi/fantasy video game series. The experiences of Master Chief John-117, one of a group of super soldiers code-named Spartans, and his artificial intelligence companion, Cortana, are the focus. The original trilogy of games centered on a war between humanity and aliens known as the Covenant. The show will weave personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

The games are exclusive to the Xbox and similar to "Metal Gear Solid" for the PS. The success of Microsoft's first games console can be traced back to the instant popularity of the first game. Since then, the franchise has become one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. The games had sold over 81 million copies.

The first "Halo" game was available to play in 2001, which helped greatly the launch of the Xbox. The image is from Microsoft.

The Master Chief's armor, which is marked VI Mjolnir, is shown in the preview, with his gloves, the 117 insignia and the back of his head. A shot of the front of the helmet was included with the voice of Cortana saying, "Hello, Master Chief."

The game will be available on Windows PC and Xbox Series X. The TV series will premiere in the U.S. sometime in 2022.
