The New York Giants will not be facing Antonio Brown in Monday Night Football, as the wide receiver was accused of obtaining a fake vaccine card.
Brown has not played since he injured his ankle in the Philadelphia Eagles game. Brown did not practice with the team this week.
Steven Ruiz, Brown's former live-in chef and personal assistant, accused the veteran wide receiver of obtaining a fake vaccine card from a teammate, and said that Brown had obtained it from a teammate.
The allegation has been denied by Brown's attorney. The league will do theirs, and the team did its due diligence in vetting player vaccine cards.
Rob Gronkowski, Sean Murphy-Bunting, and Scotty Miller are some of the players who will be in the game.
"The arrow's going up for a couple of guys," he said.
Murphy-Bunting and Miller can be activated at any time since they began their 21-day practice window to return.
"I think Sean has shown me that he's ready to go, and we'll just see if we're going to make that roster move yet," he said. It's just a matter of need. Because we have enough people. We have B.P. for another week, so we'll see where he goes, but he's ready.
Murphy-Bunting, who had an elbow injury in Week 1, used his arms and hands in practice this week. Richard Sherman was placed on injured reserve with a calf strain, so the team could use his presence.
Getting him back is one thing, but playing 60 plays is another. Sean has been out for a long time, so we can't overload him. If we can get him back out there, he can help us and gradually get his role back.
The team is waiting to see if Dee will pass the concussion protocol. If he doesn't, the team would likely call up a player from the practice squad.
After missing four games with cracked ribs and a punctured lung, and playing just five snaps in Week 8 due to back spasms, Gropper was encouraged by what he saw this week.
"We will get a good look at him before the game," he said. If he plays, we will have to monitor his workload.
