The guy who likes the taunting rule is from the NFL.

Can Bears head coach Matt Nagy do his job? The Bears are tied with Detroit for the third-fewest points scored in the league this season, and they are second to last in total offense. In his fourth season as head coach, Nagy has been laughable. Nagy put his team in a rut and not even Justin Fields could change it.
It is a miracle that Nagy still has his job, he has been on the hot seat all season. I find it insane that he would want to defend the universally despised taunting rule. Nagy should want to keep his job as head coach of the Bears. He doesn't have a good relationship with the public in Chicago. Why not take a shot at the call? Two weeks ago, the Bears were on the bad end of a horrible taunting call in their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The outcome of the game was determined by this taunting penalty and the fact that the Steelers were allowed to continue their drive, thus taking more time off the clock, and allowing them to walk away from the drive with a field goal. This is the most obvious move I have ever seen. Nagy swung with all his might to prove a point, but lost his balance and fell face first into home plate after whiffing on the ball set up perfectly on the tee.
From Nagy.
It doesn't mean you can't have fun, but there's young kids watching games and you might see some imitation going on that's taking it over the top We have a huge platform as leaders and I believe in respect and just kids growing and watching. I'm talking to people.
Think of the kids? Are you serious? I can do a quick search for the best taunting moments in football history. I can watch the football game on the internet. I can find the most devastating injuries in the history of professional sports with one quick finger. It doesn't stop kids from just finding that stuff elsewhere if taunting is removed from the game. Elementary schools have computers. Kids have a lot of knowledge on the internet. More kids know how to use a search engine than read a clock with their hands. Stop playing.
You know what is more traumatizing to young children? A football fan as a kid. Growing up watching their favorite franchise draft an incredible college talent in Fields only to use him less poorly than they did in the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". Do you think kids want to be like the fans at the games? You are almost forcing their hands at this point. Maybe when the Bears fire Nagy at the end of the season, those kids will have a bright future. They won't have to worry about how David Montgomery is being used. They will be excited to see Allen Robinson involved in the passing attack. Nagy is creating a lot of Packers fans in the Chicago area.
