The Dallas Cowboys will be without wide receiver Amari Cooper for at least two of their three games in a 12-day span starting Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cooper will be out of the Thanksgiving game against his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders, because he tested positive for Covid-19 and is unvaccinated, according to sources.
Cooper should clear the protocols in time to play against the Saints.
The Cowboys have not had any other issues related to Cooper's test. The Cowboys will fly to Kansas City.
Cooper has caught 44 passes for 583 yards and five touchdown this season, all of which rank second on the Cowboys.
The Cowboys welcomed back wide receiver Michael Gallup to action last week after he missed seven games with a calf strain. Gallup and Lamb will be the Cowboys' top two receivers, with Wilson moving into the third slot.
The unvaccinated Neal missed two games on the reserve list. Zuerlein was on the reserve list last week, but will be back on the roster this week.
Some movement on the Cowboys' offense is possible this week because of Cooper's loss.
Tyron Smith missed two games with an ankle injury. The Cowboys are waiting to see how he responds to practice on Saturday and will also consider the quick change with the Raiders game five days later. If Smith doesn't play, Steele would start at left tackle for the third straight game.
Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that he will start Connor McGovern at left guard. McCarthy acknowledged that Williams' league-high 13 penalties are too much in his media session.
