Disney Cruise Line will require all passengers ages 5 and older to be fully vaccinated.

Disney Cruise Line requires all children over the age of 5 to be fully vaccined against the coronaviruses.

The vaccine mandate will apply to sailings in both the United States and abroad. Unvaccinated guests between the ages of 5 and 11 must take a coronaviruses test. Disney ships have a requirement that all crew members must be fully vaccined.

Pfizer-BioNTech's vaccine for children ages 5 through 11 was recently cleared by federal regulators.

Most major cruise lines require passengers 12 and older to be fully vaccined. Some sailings have had to limit the number of passengers on board because of policies that require at least 95 percent of passengers to be fully vaccine free.

The chief executive officer of Royal Caribbean said last week that he expects an update on vaccine protocols for children soon, but no changes have been announced yet.

He said at a media event on board the Odyssey of the Seas that every cruise will have 100 percent of the crew and 95 percent of the guests vaccinations.

The Norwegian Cruise Line recently announced that the rules would be extended in the near future because they have one of the most stringent immunization policies. ineligible children are barred from sailings

Holland American Line recently announced a new offer that allows fully vaccineed children ages 5 to 17 to sail for free as third and fourth guests in the same stateroom.

The Holland America Line president said that getting out and seeing the world is on everyone's mind now that kids ages 5 and older can receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
