Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers (toe) sits out practice, plans to play vs. Vikings

Whatever happened to Rodgers' toe during his COVID-19Quarantine kept him from practicing on Wednesday and kept LaFleur from working on the timing he believes was lacking in the offense.

Rodgers sat out practice on Wednesday after he was asked about his toe on the Pat McAfee Show. The Packers said he wouldn't have participated even if it had been a regular practice.

The only thing that kept Rodgers out of practice was his toe injury.

Rodgers said he would like to get out there if he is feeling good enough. It's definitely a better week than last week, when I was separated from the rest of the group and not able to go through all the meetings. I'll be at practice tomorrow, but I'm not sure how much I'll do.

He said that it wouldn't keep him out of the game against the Vikings, but he wouldn't have much practice time.

Packers receiver Davante Adams and Allen Lazard had shoulder issues and showed up on the injury report. Adams and Lazard were listed as limited.

The Packers struggled on offense in the 17-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks due to a lack of practice time.

"We have to get back out on the field," LaFleur said. "We need those guys to keep working on the timing portion, making sure that the details of our route depths and our assignments are on point, because I think right now if you just look at the offense as a whole, there is opportunity out there for us." We can execute at a higher level. We can coach at a higher level. We're just a little bit off with some of the details, and I think that's really kind of hurt us throughout the season.

Rodgers hasn't practiced in a long time. His last practice was two days before the game. The Packers didn't have any practices leading up to the game at Arizona on October 28. After a weekend off, they held only a short jog-through session. After a day off on Tuesday, Rodgers tested positive for Covid-19 and didn't return to the team until the day before the game.

The Packers scored three points in the first half against Seattle, but Rodgers threw an uncharacteristic pick-six in the end zone, and the Packers lost the game.

Rodgers said it was more little details. "If you watch the film back, we had a lot of mental errors and little detail things that we didn't do very well, and those need to be cleaned up." I don't know if there was a lot of timing issues that we had, but it was more of the details that we didn't do very well on Sunday.

The Packers have two more games before their bye, which is the second-to-last possible off weekend. Rodgers said that his only issue was his toe, and that he felt fine after returning from COVID.

The body and my toe are looking forward to that. We've got two games left. I didn't find any issues with recovery on Monday and Tuesday, as I've done throughout the season, but it's kind of a day-to-day thing. I feel good in the wind. I took a few shots on Sunday, but I feel good today.
