According to local news outlet Fox 13, hip-hop and rap musician Young Dolph was killed today. The rapper was shot in his hometown of Memphis. He leaves behind two children, a son and a daughter.

The musician was inside the cookie store when a car drove by with people inside firing shots through the windows.

This isn't the first time that Dolph has been shot. He was shot several times in Los Angeles, CA. He was in the hospital for several weeks after being hit with three bullets. Even though several other artists were connected to the event, no charges were filed. The rapper's SUV was shot dozens of times.

The debut album King of Memphis by Dolph was one of the most exciting and prolific new names in the rap genre over the past decade. He has released seven more albums since then, including collaborative projects with Key Glock and Paper Route Empire.
King of Memphis was a very good start for a new act. Key Glock and Dummer 2 were both in the top 10 of the most-consumed albums in the U.S.
On the Hot 100 singles chart, Dolph appeared with two songs, and was a featured artist on both of them. He reached the tally in 2016 with O.T. Genasis. His only top 40 win was that cut. He came back with Gucci Mane and Slim Jxmmi. He collaborated on songs with well-known figures in the hip-hop field, like Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, T.I. and Lil Baby.
