New York Jets to start Joe Flacco at quarterback vs. Miami Dolphins source says

A source told Rich Cimini that Joe Flacco will start at quarterback for the New York Jets against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Mike White threw four picks up in the loss to the Bills. Wilson hasn't returned from a second-degree PCL injury.

In the fourth quarter of the loss to the Bills, Flacco completed all three of his passing attempts and had a touchdown. His experience is likely to be a factor in the Jets' decision to face the Dolphins.

Wilson ran sprints and threw a lot of passes in the warm-up before the Bills game, but coach Robert Saleh has not said when the second overall pick would return.

White suffered a freak injury in the first quarter against the Colts, and his performance against the Bills was not up to par. White has thrown for 953 yards in four games this season with 5 touchdown and 8 interception.

When Sam Darnold went down with a shoulder injury, Flacco started four games in his place. The Jets lost all four, as Flacco struggled in three of the four.

The free agent was not re-signed by the Jets.
