France 8-0 Kazakhstan: Kylian Mbappe scores four as France secure World Cup place

Kylian Mbappe scored six goals in France's two previous games.

France's reigning World Champions secured their spot at the World Cup in Qatar next year with Kylian Mbappe scoring his first hat trick against Kazakhstan.

Mbappe scored four of the eight goals. The striker's first three goals came in the first 30 minutes.

He finished the rout by finishing with a fourth.

After the break, Karim Benzema scored two. Adrien Rabiot, and Antoine Griezmann were the other scorers.

Mbappe's hat trick was the first French player to score in a competitive international competition since 1985, when Dominique Rocheteau was in charge.

He made his first cut in the sixth minute.

France's Victory ensures that they will be the top of Group D with 15 points. This is four more than Finland, which has only one game left.
