BEREA, Ohio -- Pro Bowl running back for the Cleveland Browns Nick Chubb has been ruled out of Sunday's game in New England by coach Kevin Stefanski. He tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

Demetric Felton, the Browns' running back, also tested positive. D'Ernest Johnson will run back for the Browns, Kareem Hunt remaining on injured reserve due to a calf injury.

Johnson ran for 146 yards on 22 carries in his only career start, Oct. 21. Hunt and Chubb were both out with calf injuries. The Browns beat the Broncos 17-14.

Baker Mayfield, quarterback, said this week that D'Ernest is "extremely confident" "A very opportunistic man with a positive outlook -- when he gets his chance, he's going take advantage of it."

Both Felton and Chubb were placed on Tuesday by the Browns. John Kelly, another running back for Cleveland, was added to the COVID-19 list Monday.

Chubb, a two time Pro Bowl selection, ran for 137 yards with two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. This season, he leads the team in rushing yards with 721 and six touchdowns.
