Twitch is now on the Switch

Twitch is now available for Nintendo Switch. You can download it for free from the eShop.
It's very simple to use. The app has a Home tab that recommends streams to you, a Browse tab where you can search for streams by category or game, and a Search tab. A couple of streams I tried looked amazing on my Switch OLED screen. You can only use the app to watch streams, not stream your gameplay.

You might find the Twitch Twitch experience a little less than you are used to on the Twitch app or website. The main difference is that you cannot see the stream's chat on your Switch screen or TV screen. However, you can scan a QR code and see chat on your smartphone.

You don't need to use the touchscreen or switches controls to sign in to your account. You can either scan a QR code on your phone or enter an eight-digit code shown on your screen at https://www.twitch.tv/activate.

The Switch's streaming options are limited. However, you can still watch YouTube and Hulu while on your Animal Crossing New Horizons island. Let's hope we get Netflix one day.
