Beeple explains how he went from selling art for $100 to his $69 million NFT

Beeple's year has been a success.
Mike Winkelmann is the digital artist. He recently sold his first piece, a screen-covered rotating metallic box depicting an astronaut walking through changing terrains. In March, he also sold an NFT (a non-fungible token called Everydays The First 5000 Day), for $69 Million.

In the clip above, he tells Jimmy Fallon that he used to only sell work for $100 before he discovered NFTs.

He says, "I believe you're going see a lot of people do this and a lot less artists take this approach just because it is another method you can monetize your work and make a living."
