Cop26: can gas guzzling go green?

Yesterday evening, China and the US announced in surprise press conferences that they would collaborate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over the next ten years. China-US Joint Glasgow Declaration on Enhancing Climate Action outlined key areas of action. These included cutting methane emissions and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from industry.

This sector is responsible for about 25% of global CO2 emissions. Science Weekly's Madeleine Finlay talked to Oliver Milman, an environment reporter, to learn more about how they and other countries might reduce the carbon footprint of transport.
