COP26: US-China climate agreement and fossil fuel spending

Political activists and activists have been cautiously welcoming the announcement by the US and China that they would collaborate to combat climate change. While the EU and UN consider the announcement encouraging and a significant step forward, Greenpeace feels that the two countries need to be more committed to achieving their climate goals. As COP26 in Glasgow draws to a close, the US and China declarations were made. The two largest carbon dioxide, CO2, emitters on the planet - pledged to increase climate cooperation over the next decade. They have pledged to work together in order to reach the 1.5C temperature target set forth by the 2015 Paris Agreement. Follow the events of the day here.
