Apple today seeded to beta testers the second beta for the upcoming macOS Monterey 12.1 upgrade, just two weeks after the initial beta was seeded and one day after releasing the second beta to developers.
After installing the correct profile from Apple's beta software website, public beta testers can access the macOS 12 Monterey upgrade from the Software Update Section of the System Preferences App.
macOS Monterey 12.1 now supports SharePlay, a feature that allows FaceTime users more interaction with their family and friends. FaceTime users have the ability to listen to music, view TV and watch movies with SharePlay. They can even share their screens with those they are chatting with.
SharePlay is active in iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.00, and tvOS 15.1. The macOS Monterey 12.1 update brings Macs into line with iOS and Apple TV.
