Astroworld's victim has been declared brain dead.
Bharti Shahani, 22 years old, has been admitted to hospital since Friday's concert. He is still breathing on a ventilator. However, it seems that Shahani will be the 9th victim in the tragedy.

Her sister, a senior at Texas A&M, and her cousin were there but separated by the surge. Namrata, her sister was fine, but Bharti was not. Bharti was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and given CPR while she was there. During and after the crush, she reportedly suffered multiple heart attacks.

To determine the next steps, the family met with doctors. It is not known if Shahani is still on the ventilator.
8 people have been confirmed dead and many more are still being treated in hospital for serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. Ezra Blount, 9, is currently in a medically-induced stupor after being a victim to the stampede.
