ITV, the UK's television network, is poised to record its best year in terms of advertising revenues in its 66 years. Businesses are investing money in marketing to help drive post-pandemic recovery. Content like the Euro 2020 tournament was a huge hit with viewers.
According to the UK's largest free-to-air broadcaster, it is performing better than ever in 2019, before Covid-19 hit. Total advertising revenue for the first nine month rose 30% year-on-year to PS1.3bn.
The company anticipates that total ad revenue for the year will rise by 24%, which includes the increasing income from ads on ITV Hub's streaming service, ITV Hub. This is a record-breaking amount compared to 2020.
