After gameplay footage was uploaded from early copies, Rockstar has released gameplay footage from its upcoming remaster of Grand Theft Auto III. VGC has gathered three YouTube uploads as well as one Reddit post that combine over an hour of Grand Theft Auto III footage, Grand Theft Auto Vice City footage, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas footage.
Rockstar has yet to share any gameplay footage from the remastered Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy -- The Final Edition, even though it is only one day away. The trailer that was released last month focused almost entirely on cutscenes from the games, rather than the gameplay enhancements Rockstar promised for the nearly two-decade-old trilogy.
These leaked gameplay clips offer a better insight into how the remasters will play. These clips show the new weapon selection wheel interface, which was inherited from GTA 2 and gives an idea of how Grand Theft Auto V's controls work in practice. Vice City footage appears to show a player activating a cheatcode and spawning in an armored tank. (See it at the 16:10 mark).
Other enhancements promised include a revamped graphics and better navigation via the game's mini maps. Also, modern quality features such as Achievements and Trophies for Xbox and PlayStation, are included. The game will have motion-controlled aiming and touchscreen controls on Switch, while the PC version will work with Nvidia's DLS tech.
Grand Theft Auto III: The Trilogy -- The Official Digital Launch will take place tomorrow, November 11th at 5PM (PS54.99). It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Rockstar Games Launcher. The physical release will be available on December 7, while the iOS and Android versions will launch in the first half next year.
