Apple Drops Device Trade-In Prices in the U.S.

Apple has updated its iPhone trade in site. It has reduced the maximum trade-in price for almost all its trade-in options. For example, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will now be worth $700. This is $90 less than what it was yesterday.


Apple's trade in program allows customers to send in old devices and receive a gift card from Apple that can be used towards the purchase of a new iPhone. Apple adjusts its trade-in pricing regularly. The new iPhone prices are listed below.

iPhone 12 Pro Max - From $790, up to $700

iPhone 12 Pro - iPhone 12 Pro: Up to $600, starting at $640

iPhone 12 - iPhone 12 - iPhone 12: Up to $450.

iPhone 12 mini - iPhone 12 mini, up to $350, and down from $400

iPhone SE (2nd Generation) - Prices up to $160, and down from $170

iPhone 11 Pro Max – Up to $450 and down from $500

iPhone 11 Pro - From $450 to as low as $400

iPhone 11 - iPhone 11: Up to $300 off, starting at $340

iPhone XS Max – Up to $280, Down from $320

iPhone XS – Up to $220, Down from $240

iPhone XR – Up to $200, starting at $230

iPhone X - Up to $200 (no change)

iPhone 8 Plus - iPhone 8 Plus: Up to $160, Down from $180

iPhone 8 - iPhone 8: Up to $100 on Sale from $110

iPhone 7 Plus - Get up to $100 off, starting at $110

iPhone 7 - iPhone 7 Prices as Low As $50

iPhone 6s Plus - Get up to $50 off, starting at $60

iPhone 6s - Up to $30 (no change)

Apple has also reduced trade-in costs for computers and tablets. Customers can now get up to $550 for tablets, down from the previous maximum of $580. Apple now offers computers up to $2720 as an alternative to $3240. Apple Watch users can still get up to $270 in trade-ins, and the maximum trade-in price has not changed.
