Apple today seeded to developers the second betas for the upcoming iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.1 updates. This was one week after seeding beta 1, and two weeks after the launch iOS 15.1/iPadOS 15.1.
iOS and iPadOS 15.2 are available for download through the Apple Developer Center, or over-the-air after an appropriate profile has been installed on an iPhone/iPad.
iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 now support App Privacy Report. This feature was first introduced by Apple at WWDC. App Privacy Report allows you to see how often apps access sensitive information granted by privacy permissions such as camera, microphone and contacts.
This feature gives you information on which domains apps and websites contact you, so you can monitor what your apps do behind the scenes and where your data may be headed.
App Privacy Report can also be activated by opening the Settings app and selecting Privacy. You can then toggle it on. This spot will start showing data after you have started using apps. Apple displays seven days' worth of data.
iOS 15.2 beta 2 includes Apple's Messages Communication Safety for children and a modified Notification Summary that gives summary more of a card-style appearance.
An update has been made to Emergency SOS. You can enable the Auto Call feature by pressing the side button quickly or holding the volume and side buttons together. Apple has increased the countdown time from three seconds to eight seconds to allow you to cancel accidental dials.
