Today might be more optimistic than last year. However, this is not a good indicator of how optimistic you are about the future. The past 18 months have shown us that there are still a few kinks in this whole society thing.
We bring you RE:WIRED. It will take serious work to navigate the future. We also need to be open to new ways of thinking about the world. WIRED will host a series sessions over two days, November 9-10. Talk with scientists, actors, technologists, and royalty to discuss how to create a world that works well into the future.

Timnit Gebru, a former Google researcher, published a paper in 2020 that highlighted ethical issues with a particular type of AI software Google used to create its search engine. Google fired Gebru in response. Gebru joined WIRED senior writer Tom Simonite for this discussion about the lack of oversight in the tech industry, and how AI can be made more beneficial to society.
