It looks like Senator Ted Cruz (R.Texas), had a bird about a tweet by @BigBird.
The Twitter account for Sesame Streets Big Bird tweeted that they had received the Covid-19 vaccination on Saturday. Although my wing feels a bit sore, it will give me an extra protection boost that keeps me and others safe. Cruz called it government propaganda...for your 5-year-old, in a tweet. Government propaganda? Are you really thinking of Big Bird as government propaganda?
Folks, today's Sesame Street episode is sponsored by the letters T, F, and W. Here's the original tweet from @BigBird.
Here's what Cruz tweeted at the time:
Twitter from Twitter
It looks like Cruz made it to Sesame street. It's 2021, and the U.S. Senator spends his time trolling Big Bird. Next? What next?
The Big Bird tweet is being called government propaganda. It's like asking Big Birds what type of bird they are referring to. It is a scientific fact that the Covid-19 vaccine gives my body an extra protection boost that keeps me healthy and other people safe. As Forbes has previously reported, studies have shown that Covid-19 vaccines can lower the risk of contracting a Covid-19 coronavirus virus infection. The vaccine may reduce the spread of the virus, according to evidence. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the Covid-19 vaccines for people aged 12 and over since August. The FDA recently granted Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) to the Pfizer BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine to children aged 5-11 years.

Erica Hill, a CNN journalist, continued the Big Bird tweet. Hill said that she has been receiving vaccines since childhood. I didn't know! This was to emphasize that you have probably had several vaccinations against diseases like the measles and pertussis. Rex Chapman, a former NBA player, pointed out that Big Bird has promoted vaccinations before. This was back in 1972.
Are there any U.S. Senators who tried to get in his beak back then for showing the benefits of vaccination? Did any U.S. Senators attempt to get in his beak back then to show the benefits of vaccination
Big Bird isn't the most controversial of characters. He is certainly less controversial than Cookie Monster, who may have had a problem with sugar and processed carbs. Big Bird isn't exactly a propaganda machine. Big Bird, eight feet two inches tall, tried to convince others that Mr. Snuffleupagus existed even though some were skeptical. Snuffleupagus was indeed real because we all saw him, right? The yellow giant Muppet character, the yellow giant Muppet, has never shown any tendency to obfuscate or push unsupported information. This isn't Q Bird. Or the Big Lie Bird.
However, Cruz was joined by others in chasing Big Bird, as Ken Klippenstein of The Intercept noted:
What is the old saying about birds of feathers? Tweets suggesting that children are not at high risk of Covid were followed by the word twisted. The virus can infect children and cause serious consequences. Although the risks are not as severe as for adults, they still pose a risk. Not only are children vaccinated, but everyone is. It is for everyone. It is not a personal choice.
This misconception is illustrated by the following tweet:
To prevent further spread of the virus, the main reason for vaccinating children is to protect them. Although younger children are less likely to get worse Covid-19 outcomes than older ones, they still have the risk. Because children are more likely to spread the virus, they may have a higher risk of getting it from their peers who congregate at schools. They can also stick their noses and fingers all over the place. Children don't always know the right boundaries. Adults are better at maintaining physical boundaries.
This social media account, which is all about boundaries, decided to use the F word to spread some cheer to any children who might be reading it.
A social media account anonymously calling a Twitter verified Twitter account from a clear source fake. Next? Tweeting Santa Claus has a beard Is the Easter Bunny only an ear? Saying Representative Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Georgia), is just a space laser?
This is what happens when anti-vaccination sentiments are echoed by the Big Bird. When scientific evidence supports the claim that the Covid-19 vaccine will provide an extra protection boost to my body that keeps me and others safe, then there is nothing wrong with saying that it will. Big Bird did not say that he required the Covid-19 vaccination. However, it is possible to fight misinformation about these vaccines.
Many people used Twitter to support Big Bird.
You can expect people to defend themselves when you are after someone's Bird. Big Bird is supported by many people. It's not surprising, considering that Big Bird has been the anchor of Sesame Street's childrens program since 1969.
Okay, ignore the tweet about Big Bird's fictional character. Big Bird is real. It isn't clear, however, how old Big Bird might be, in human or bird years.
It is also unclear what kind of bird Big Bird might be. Big Bird is an ostrich? A giant chicken? A heron? A hybrid species? A new species?
However, one has to wonder if all this will lead to a Muppet-style political war.
Oscar the Grouch is to be feared in an insurrection. He's a grouch, and what's in his can?
How can this society be so enraged at a cultural icon that is not political but cultural for just a tweet about the Covid-19 vaccine's benefits? This icon has been a supporter of both Republican and Democratic health initiatives over the decades. However, this cultural icon was supported by Henry Winkler, the Fonz.
Sesame Street is a place that has been providing education for children for many years. It is not located in Cancun, Mexico. Why is Cruz going to Mexico? The politicization of the response to the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic is one of the most saddest aspects of it. It should have been scientific-based, not politically-based. The U.S. has lost hundreds of thousands of people and suffered a lot from the politicization of this pandemic. To try to win political points by attacking science-based statements that aim to contain the virus is a collective, what the cluck!
