World of Hyatt launched several targeted promotions in the last week. A new version of this promotion appears to have just been released. This can be either good news or bad news depending on your perspective.
Get up to 150K points when you sign up for the World of Hyatt Offer
The last World of Hyatt global promotion was on September 15, 2021. The program has not offered a significant promotion to members since then. This is in contrast with other loyalty programs like Hilton Honors, IHG Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy.
World of Hyatt introduced targeted offers for stays up to January 14, 2022, since the beginning of the month. These offers will be sent directly to members via email. The details are as follows:
Register here to receive 2,500 bonus points for every 2 nights and up to 50,000 bonus point.
Register here to receive 12,000 bonus points for every five nights. You can also get up to 120,000 bonus point.
Register here to receive 30,000 bonus points for every 10 nights. You can also get up to 150,000 bonus point.
World of Hyatt offers a few targeted promotions
Other versions may exist. To see if you are eligible, you can register with the links above. However, if World of Hyatt hasn't contacted you directly about this promotion, chances are that youre not eligible.
These offers are not available to most members.
This promotion allows you to earn a maximum of 3,000 bonus point per night. World of Hyatt points are worth 1.5 cents per, which to me is a return of $45 per night. This doesn't include the points that you normally earn. This is especially true if you are staying in an affordable property.
World of Hyatt offers a new, targeted promotion

This was something I assumed, but it is safe to assume that we won't see any further global promotions from World of Hyatt before at least mid-January 2022.
World of Hyatt will not offer this targeted promotion in addition to a global promotion. That would be too rewarding.
It is unlikely that World of Hyatt will launch promotions so late in the calendar year. However, it does seem that Hyatt's current quarter focus is on the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. (review).
I believe that World of Hyatt will launch the next global promotion in January 2022.
This type of targeted promotion can leave a bad impression on those who aren't eligible. Members point out that this is unfair.
I am at 224 elite nights for World of Hyatt in 2021. Im not eligible to receive either of these promotions. Hyatt seems to be targeting based on how it thinks it can move stay patterns. Hyatt is right to do this, but if you have limited funds to spend on promotions it might make sense to target members who will be most affected.
I personally won't go out of my way for Hyatts to be my fourth quarter employer. It's not that Im bitter about being not targeted or anything, but because there are no incremental rewards for doing so. World of Hyatt also offers Milestone Rewards but these are limited to 100 elite nights. Instead of blindly following loyalty, I am now acting as a rational consumer and choosing the best hotels for me.
World of Hyatt's next major promotion is likely to be in 2022
Bottom line
World of Hyatt launched a targeted promotion to promote upcoming stays in the fall and winter. Members who are eligible can earn between 2,400 and 3,000 bonus points per night by staying in the right amounts.
For those who qualify, this is a generous offer. If you are not eligible, it is safe to assume World of Hyatt will not offer a global promotion this year. However, I believe a promotion may be launched in the early 2022.
