Alec Baldwin used a prop gun to shoot at a movie set. He killed Halyna Hutchin, a cinematographer, and injured another.

Trump stated that Baldwin was a troubled man and a "nutjob" to him.

Trump stated, "Who would point a gun at a cinematographer? And pull the trigger? She's dead!"

Donald Trump, an ex-president, falsely claimed Alec Baldwin may have intentionally shot crew members while filming "Rust."

Baldwin's firing of a protruding gun on set resulted in Halyna Hutchins being killed and Joel Souza being injured.

He's a troubled man. There is something wrong with him. He's been watching me for years. Donald Trump said that he gets into fights with reporters in a podcast Thursday.

He's a cuckoo bird, he's nuts. And you know that when someone like that is around, it's usually because he was involved in the situation."

Alec Baldwin described the incident as a "tragic coincidence." Baldwin stated in the police affidavit that he was told the gun wasn't loaded.

Trump said that Baldwin had acted irresponsibly in pointing the gun at a member of his crew, regardless of whether it was loaded.

"But, if you don't mind, how can you just take a gun and point it at someone that's not in the movie? Then pull the trigger, and she's dead!" He said.

Trump stated on the podcast, "If he was handed a gun, he'd first fire it into the air."

He said that Hutchins was an actor and crewmember, so it was not surprising that the gun was pointed at her.

Trump stated, "It's strange." Trump said, "Who would point a gun at a cinematographer and then pull the trigger and she's dead?"

Investigators are investigating how the live ammunition got into the gun. Trump suggested that Baldwin may have loaded the gun that caused the death of Hutchins.

He said, "As bad or it may have been kept. It means you know the people who take care of the equipment. But even if the equipment was loaded, which is a strange thing- maybe he loaded it."

Baldwin's impersonation on Saturday Night Live was, according to the former president, "terrible."

He is not right. He is a sick man. He's a sick guy. Trump stated, "I thought I did a poor job imitating him."

Donald Trump Jr. also mocked Baldwin over the incident by selling shirts that said "guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin murders people."

Hutchins' murder remains under investigation. There have been no charges.
