Nintendo releases Animal Crossing’s big 2.0 update early

You can now download the major 2.0 update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This is a surprise considering Nintendo had previously stated that it would not be available until November 5. This means that you will be able to access all of the new features 2 days earlier than anticipated.
In a Nintendo Direct presentation, the 2.0 update was revealed last month. The update includes many new features, including house exterior designs, boat tours to additional islands, more item storage, a pro-cam mode, the ability cook with grown ingredients and much more. Brewsters coffee shop is the most anticipated addition, which was a significant omission in the base game.

Nintendo also announced a $24.99 expansion called Happy Home Paradise. However, it is not yet available in-game. The eShop lists it as available for pre-load. The Nintendo Switch Online expansion pack, which includes Sega Genesis and N64 games, will include access to additional paid content. However it is not yet available for subscribers.

After Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the second-best-selling Nintendo Switch game. Nintendo had sold 33.89 Million copies as of June 30, 2018.
