Disney's Live-Action Snow White Casts Gal Gadot as Evil Queen

Gal Gadot is a shining, compassionate superhero after two Wonder Woman films (and another on the way). Shell will be leaving her shield and superpowers behind for a more juicy role that has a little bit more poisonous bite: The Evil Queen in Disney's live-action remake Snow White.

Deadline reports that Dwayne Johnson is also an actor in Fast and Furious. Red Notice is a new Netflix action movie that stars Dwayne. Jenkins, Wonder Woman's director, is still working on the Cleopatra movie. Jenkins is currently finalizing negotiations to portray the iconic villain. The film will star Rachel Zegler (West Side Story and Shazam: Fury of the Gods), who was previously announced as the co-star. Production will begin next year. Marc Webb (Amazing Spider-Man), will direct it. This is a very special Disney project. It will be a remake of their first animated feature. After it was a success in 1938, there have been many fairy-tale films that have followed.

Deadline reports that the live action film will continue the story and music of the original with new songs by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek (La La Land and The Greatest Showman), Dear Evan Hansen. This trade suggests that Gadot was the first choice after previous Disney roles by Angelina Jolie (Maleficent), Cate Blanchett(Cinderalla), and Melissa McCarthy (Little Mermaid) among others.

What do you think Gadot's portrayal of the Evil Queen? And who should Disney cast to play the Magic Mirror, the best character in the story?
