A woman who accused Marilyn Manson of abuse says that seeing him with Kanye West and Justin Bieber is 'like being retraumatized'

Marilyn Manson was a key part of Kanye West’s livestreamed Sunday Service.

Ashley Morgan Smithline, the woman who accused Manson abuse, stated that it felt like being retraumatized.

It's so heartbreaking. It makes me sick," she said to People. "How is this the world that we live in?"

Manson was joined by Ye (previously known as Kanye West), and Justin Bieber on Halloween at Ye's livestreamed Sunday Service. Online images quickly circulated of Manson and Ye leading a prayer circle.

Smithline, who filed a lawsuit against Manson, containing allegations of sexual assault, human traficking, and unlawful imprisonment among others, told People that watching Manson take part in the event was "just like being traumatized."

It's so heartbreaking. She said, "It makes me sick." "How is this the world that we live in?"

Smithline and Manson dated for approximately two years after they met in 2010. In February, she publicly accused Manson of sexual, psychological and physical abuse. She previously stated to People that she thought he was going out to kill her during their relationship. A spokesperson for Manson stated to People that they "strongly reject" her claims.

Smithline is just one of the more than 15 women who have made allegations against Manson. Evan Rachel Wood, Esm Bianco and Esm Smithline are also among his accusers.

It makes everyone really sick. It's like being traumatized," Smithline explained to People. It's showing that the world doesn’t care if you rape or if your [women] are beaten and hurt, you can do what you want if the money is there and you’re a man and well-known."

She said that Manson's accusers were "terrified for their lives", while Manson is "having lunch in West Hollywood."

She said, referring specifically to Ye: "This man must know that he's enabling a rapper." "He is enabling an abuser, and not [of] just one girl."

People was told by a spokesperson for Manson that he was an "integral" part of the Sunday Service and that it is "nobody’s business" if the "Antichrist Superstar” singer has converted to Christianity.

People was told by a spokesperson that Marilyn Manson has worked with many legendary and innovative artists throughout his career.

Ye previously had Manson as a guest at his "Donda” listening party in Chicago. Manson is also listed as a cowriter of "Jail, Pt 2", the 24th track on Ye’s new album.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is currently investigating Manson for domestic violence. Manson has denied any allegations of assault and said that his relationships with women in the past were "entirely consensual".

Insider reached out to Bieber and Ye for clarification but they did not immediately reply.
