Kim Kardashian had a 'fashion emergency' when she stood up to accept an award in a leather dress

Kim Kardashian West was caught in a wardrobe error at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards.

Kardashian West wore a leather gown from the upcoming SKIMS x Fendi line.

SKIMS founder, she said that her dress began to unravel as she stood up to accept the award.

Kim Kardashian West was unable to dress properly at the Wall Street Journal Magazine 2021 Innovator Awards in New York City.

The 41-year old mogul was recognized as an innovator of brands Monday for her work with SKIMS. Kardashian West attended the awards in a leather dress and gloves she designed with Fendi's artistic Director Kim Jones. The neutral look was paired with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and snake-print boots.

According to People, when she got up on stage, she revealed that her dress was unzipped, exposing the SKIMS underwear she had worn underneath. Jones was there to help her zip up the dress.

Kardashian West stated, "Thank you Kim Jones, I just had a fashion emergency." "I'm thankful I had SKIMS on or this show would have been very different tonight."
