Raiders' Henry Ruggs III to Be Charged with DUI Resulting in Death After Car Crash

Las Vegas police plan to accuse Henry Ruggs III, wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, of driving under the influence leading to death.

Police say officers responded to a collision involving a Toyota and Chevrolet early Tuesday morning. The Toyota was set on fire and a victim died. Ruggs was the Chevrolet driver, according to police.

TMZ Sports shared a statement by Ruggs' lawyers: "On behalf Henry Ruggs III, we are conducting our own investigative as of this writing. We ask everyone to refrain from making any judgment until all facts have been gathered."

After the crash, statements were also made by the NFL and Raiders.

Ruggs is currently in his second season as a Raiders player. He was 12th overall in 2020's NFL draft. He has recieved 24 passes in seven games for the Raiders, which have 469 yards and two touchdowns.
