TOP STORY - Conte's backers are Spurs with a 280m war chest

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a list for winter reinforcements, as they seek to use a 280million budget to purchase a few Serie A stars to bolster their squad.

Calciomercato reports that four potential targets have been identified, and that additional players will be added to the pitch.

Dusan Vlahovic is the most expensive player on the list. The Fiorentina star has been attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in recent months. In his last match against Spezia, the 21-year-old striker scored three goals. This is a continuation of a trend that has seen I Viola pay 80m for his services.

Antonio Conte, former Nerazzurri manager, is set to become the Spurs' new manager. The Premier League club is also interested in Marcelo Brozovic and Stefan de Vrij, Internazionale players. They could swap the San Siro Stadium for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if Conte and the pair win the Serie A title last season.

Alessio Romagnoli is the last player to be reported by Spurs. The club may be able negotiate a reduced-price contract for him, as talks between AC Milan and Milan have not progressed on a new contract. This contract is due to expire next year.

PAPER GOSSIP

El Nacional reports that Erling Haaland may be closer to moving to Barcelona. His agent Mino Raiola says that he wants to join the Blaugrana because of his relationship with Joan Laporta. Barcelona could be able to negotiate a deal with the 21-year-old forward, whose future has been linked to Europe's elite clubs all season. His release clause of 75 million next season means that he could leave.

According to Ekrem Kongur, Arsenal is preparing to make a bid for Lukajovic in January. In recent months, the club has been linked to a variety of strikers. It is believed that Real Madrid will offer 25m for Jovic's signature. Jovic joined the club in 2019, but has not been able to make it a regular player in the first team. Karim Benzema is the preferred No. Carlo Ancelotti has 9 options.

FourFourTwo reports that Donny Van de Beek could move to Emirates because of a family connection. As we get closer to January's transfer window, rumours are heating up about the future of the 24-year old midfielder. With Arsenal losing Thomas Partey to Africa Cup of Nations, Van de Beek could be seen as a potential reinforcement, while his future at Manchester United is uncertain.

- AS Monaco's Chrislain Matsima may be leaving the Ligue 1 club. RMC Sport has revealed that contact was made with the Bundesliga about a possible move for the 19 year-old defender. Monaco is said to be open to the possibility of Matsima being allowed to move on loan in order to get more playing time. He has only made one start at right-back this season.

Nicolo Schira writes that Gonzalo Villar will be leaving Roma to enter the winter transfer market. Real Betis and Valencia have been in contact with each other so far to discuss a possible deal. Both clubs are interested in a loan. The 23-year old midfielder was featured 33 times in Serie A last year, and he also scored one assist.
