According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pratt's next major role is hell voice Garfield in an animated film that will be based on the comic strip cat.
Pratt does have big shoes (paws?) To fill, Pratt will be following Bill Murray's Garfield take on Garfield in Garfield: The Movie or Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. We don't know when Pratt will be able to eat lasagna, so we haven't been able to get any additional information on the movie. However, THR reports that Garfield creator Jim Davis will be the executive producer.
Pratt's surprise announcement that Pratt would play Garfield is a continuation of another Pratt Casting: Nintendo announced that Pratt would voice Mario in the Mario movie, due to debut in December 2022. Nintendo shared the movie would feature Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black and Fred Armisen playing Cranky Kong. Here's hoping that the next Garfield movie will have a similar cast. According to The Verges newsroom, Odie could be played by Tom Holland.
