Sleep has always been elusive for me. Over the years, I would lay awake tossing around and blaming my overactive mind for not getting enough sleep. It turned out that it wasn't my mind, but my mattress, that was the problem.
The medium-firm Leesa Mattress measures 10 inches thick and is made up of three layers of foam. The 6-inch thick core support foam layer is complemented by a 2-inch memory foam middle and top layers for pressure relief and body contouring.
The Leesa is a beautiful mattress that can be left unprotected, unlike most other mattresses. The unique look of the mattress is its upholstered grey top and thick white stripes at the bottom. It's the stuff beneath all that pretty packaging that really matters.
Leesa
The Leesa Mattress's pressure relief is my favorite feature.
Side sleepers often complain of sharp pains in the shoulder and hips, or not feeling my arm. The Leesa mattress made a huge difference in my life. It's so different from any other mattress that I have tried.
The top foam layer appeared to respond almost instantly to my movements. My body was supported in every way possible. The mattress was quick to adjust to my new position when I moved about on it.
I used to feel slightly sore when I slept on my stomach or back, but I haven't had such an issue with the Leesa.
This mattress is made to last.
Leesa points out that the mattress lost less than 2% after it was put through an ASTM test, which measures foam's durability over time. The industry standard for foam is 10%. This means that the mattress will not sag when you lie down on it night after day, which is a common complaint with other boxes.
Consider the cons
You already know the comfort of a Leesa mattress. Because of its microcell structure, the top layer is able to allow for substantial airflow and keeps it cool for foam mattresses.
Gel foam is recommended for people who sleep hot. The Purple Premier Hybrid Mattress is the best choice for hot sleepers.
Leesa
The Leesa Mattress was great for me. However, mattresses can be subjective. It is risk-free to test it for 100 nights so you can get an idea of how it feels.
Leesa's Hybrid Mattress is also a good choice for side sleepers who have back pain.
The bottom line
The Leesa Mattress was a great mattress. The medium firmness and 10 inch of foam were perfect for me to sleep on my side. You should try the mattress out for yourself to make sure it is right for you.
Pros: Medium firmness, responsive support
Cons: It may be too hot for some people who are not used to sleeping warm.
