The regrets of the unvaccinated: why Covid-bereaved families are speaking out

Most people who die from Covid-19 in the UK or the US have not been vaccinated. Family members of the deceased are sharing their stories in an effort to encourage others to get vaccinated.
Phil Valentine, a conservative talk radio host from Tennessee, was skeptical about the US government's response to the coronavirus epidemic. Although he wasn't anti-vax, he didn't believe he was at risk from Covid. He spoke on air about why he decided not to get vaccinated. He even sang Vaxman, which is a parody of The Beatles Taxman. He contracted the virus shortly after the song was released.

He sent his brother Mark a message about his regrets from the hospital before Valentine died. He asked Mark to send a message to his brother about his regrets and to encourage others to get the vaccine in order to make amends for what he had said on the show.

This episode features Michael Safi talking to Mark Valentine about his efforts in fulfilling his brother's dying wish. Sirin Kale, a reporter, talks to him about how to approach conversations about vaccines with hesitant loved one.
